Young Jonnie learned to play guitar around weekend campfires in the California desert. When he wasn’t motorcycle racing, running, or surfing, his music called and he answered. His High School garage band created a buzz among the neighbors on most weekend nights, making for serious collaborations, connections and parties. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and the college environment provided plentiful opportunities to play music for fun, food, housing, and beer. Five and a half years of college, music, and a degree in business provided the perfect springboard to move to Colorado and teach skiing and golf. Dirty Snowman Society now allows Jonnie to strum to his own beat, and avoid being in a cover band. He follows his own endless winter surfing, skiing, writing music, and exploring the mysteries of the universe while living in Copper Mountain, Colorado and Bali, Indonesia.
